CUSTOMER SERVICE POINTS (DERBY STREET, ORMSKIRK & CONCOURSE SHOPPING CENTRE, SKELMERSDALE)
Both Customer Service Points will close at 12noon on Tuesday 24th December 2024
- The Customer Services Point at Derby Street will re-open at 9am on Thursday 2nd January, 2025.
- The Customer Services Point at the Concourse Shopping Centre will re-open at 10am on Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

HOUSING SERVICES
Between 12noon on Tuesday 24 December 2024, and Thursday 2 January 2025 only emergency repairs can be reported.

REVENUES & BENEFITS SERVICE
The Revenues and Benefits Service will close at 12noon on Tuesday 24th December, 2024, and re-open at 8:30am on Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

MARKETS
Our traditional market in Ormskirk will continue to be open as usual on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the Christmas period, with the exception of Thursday 26th December, 2024 (Boxing Day). The market will trade for an additional day on Monday 23rd December.
CAR PARKS (PAY & DISPLAY)
In line with existing arrangements on Sundays and Bank Holidays, the Council’s pay & display car parks will be free of charge on Wednesday 25th December and Thursday 26th December and Wednesday 1st January 2025.
LEISURE

REFUSE AND RECYCLING
Over the Christmas period your grey, blue and green bin waste collection dates have changed. The revised collection dates are as follows:
Tuesday 24th December 2024 will now take place 3 days earlier on Saturday 21st December 2024
Wednesday 25th December 2024 will now take place 1 day earlier on Tuesday 24th December 2024
Thursday 26th December 2024 will now take place on Friday 27th December 2024
Friday 27th December 2024 will now take place on Saturday 28th December 2024
Tuesday 31st December 2024 – NO CHANGE
Wednesday 1st January 2025 will now take place on Thursday 2nd January 2025
Thursday 2nd January 2025 will now take place on Friday 3rd January 2025
Friday 3rd January 2025 will now take place on Saturday 4th January 2025
Please note that all brown bin collections will be suspended for two weeks between Monday 23rd December 2024 and Friday 3rd January 2025. Normal service will resume on Tuesday 7th January 2025.
