On 30th July, Skelmersdale Amphitheatre is set to host the return of the free, family-friendly event, The Skelmersdale Show. The Council has worked closely with partners at E-Rooms to stage the summer siesta, where attendees can enjoy outstanding performances from acts including Ison Boy and The Ravenous, as well as local artisan wares, street entertainers, community stalls, face painting, grass sledding, climbing wall and Silcocks fairground rides.
Visitors will be welcomed from 11am - 5pm to enjoy a day filled with live music, top-class entertainment and a range of food & drink offers.
Local community groups are set to get involved, with Burnt Bananas hosting wellbeing activities and local dance troupes keeping the crowds abuzz throughout the afternoon. There will also be a variety of local traders offering a diverse selection of stalls to browse through.
Councillor Carl Coughlan, portfolio holder for Leisure said: "We're delighted to play part in hosting this fantastic local event.
"Events like the Skelmersdale Show give local people the opportunity to come together to get involved in the community spirit within West Lancashire, demonstrating how great it can be to live, work and socialise in the Borough."
