Ormskirk is an historic market town steeped in history and character with excellent shopping including a large selection of independent retailers and a wide range of restaurants, cafes and pubs.

The town centre has an attractive airy feel with many historic buildings adding to its character, including unique features such as the town centre clock tower dating back to 1876 and Ormskirk Parish Church with its origins in the 12th century, with the Chapel Gallery and Coronation Park in close proximity.

Ormskirk is a popular destination for shoppers with its twice weekly market held each Thursday and Saturday. The traditional outdoor market has been operating since 1286, with around 100 stalls attracting hundreds of bargain hunters each market day.

Ormskirk is also home to the award winning Edge Hill University and offers an excellent student experience on one of best campuses in the UK.

Within a short walking distance from the town centre you will find Coronation Park, set  within 20 acres and boasting a stunning lake, ornate bandstand and play areas for the little ones.
