License Transfer Information
A Premises Licence can only be transferred to a party who would be in a position to use the premises for licensable activities authorised by the Premises Licence.
If you wish to take over an existing premises licence from the premises licence holder, you must complete a transfer application.

The consent form must accompany a transfer application.
Will tacit consent apply?
Yes, tacit consent will apply.
This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the Council by the end of the target period.
At the end of the consultation period if no representations are received the licence will be granted and issued within further 2 weeks. The consultation period is 14 days from the day after the application is received.
If representations are received a hearing will be held with 20 working days of the end of the consultation.
A decision notice will be sent within 20 working days of the determination.
